little diva dance recital

cherie and her daughters

At Launch Your Kid, our recitals are designed to create a low-pressure and self confidence building event for your dancer. We schedule a separate recital for each of our classes to keep recitals short, less formal and therefore, less overwhelming to young dancers. Our recitals create an environment where dancers can develop a strong sense of pride and accomplishment.

Spring Dance Recital FAQs

Do I need to purchase a costume for the recital?
No! Your dancer can wear her regular dance attire for the recital. However, we do have some fabulous new dance-wear on our shop if you would like to have your dancer feel extra special on her recital day :)

When and where will my child's recital be held?
Each class will have their recital at the location that her class is held. The complete date and time schedule is available on our website. In addition, your dancer will be bringing home a cubby note in March that will list the specific date and time of her recital.

Can we invite other family members such as grandparents to attend the recital?

Absolutely! Your dancers have been working so hard all year, and we are excited to demonstrate all they have learned.

How long will the recital last?
Each recital will last approximately 20 minutes. At the recitals, dancers will perform a ballet and tap routine and some of our favorite warm-up songs and dances.

Does dance class continue through the month of May?
All schools will have dance classes through the month of May and most schools continue year round. There are certain schools that opt of out of summer classes such as Christ Lutheran, Plaza Baptist, and St. John's Baptist. Detailed information will be announced at your recital!

Practice at Home with Your Dancer

!

Videos of the ballet and tap routines are shown below so that you and your dancer can practice at home! The ballet routine is called "The Princess Dance" and the tap routine is called "Happy Birthday Princess". Both songs can be found on the album "Disney Princess Tea Party". If you have any questions, you can email Coach Molly.
